Dangerous Dog Defense
This was case # 167 where Leo had got loose and attacked 4 people, all of whom were trying to rescue him. First a woman saw him on her lawn and reached toward his collar to secure him and he bit her. He then bit multiple first responders. His owner was very accountable and realistic. We added a behavioral consultant to the team but ultimately my job was just to make sure the hearing authority got to the right decision the right way. Testimony of prior bites to a groomer came to light and Leo needed to be euthanized and we did not appeal that decision. It led to an immense amount of respect and credibility for Boston Dog Lawyers in the city in the years to come on other dog cases.
