Niko

Niko was our 4th case.  He was accused of having entered a goat pen and attacking and killing two pet goats.  Niko was found roaming the streets with some blood on him however, the size of the animal required to take down these goats was much larger.  We got the case dismissed, despite there being a loud effort to euthanize Niko, because the animal control officer did not perform the basic investigation that is warranted when goats are killed.  The tool necessary to do so is a match stick.  It gets placed into the puncture wounds to determine the depth of the bite.  There were also police dispatch logs showing coyotes in the neighborhood.  Niko's owners were great and had us over for a homemade lunch.
