Suki

Our clients soon realized that they were taking Suki with them everywhere they went.  They were the day to day caretakers making sure the dog was fed, walked and went to the vet.  Suki came to them along with a new roommate and over time, we argued, acquired ownership and possessory rights to her.  When you provide a benefit to someone and they watch you do it regularly and don't stop you or repay you, you may be elgible for rights of ownership or possession under the theory of implied contract.  This was our first case where we utilized this approach.  Our clients got the dog returned to them after a court order.
